I’ve said this before, but I work in the government sector.  It’s not particularly my choice, but with the economy of the past few years and the crushing taxes put on private businesses, it’s what was paying the bills as we struggled to build our own private business.  I was tired of being laid off from “company jobs”.  After that happening 3 times in 5 years, I decided that I would work on my own business dream while holding down a government job.

Don’t get me wrong … I’m grateful that I have work.  I know that I do it well and I do it with care, offering good service to the State of California taxpayers.  However, the mentality of the majority of people that work in government jobs never ceases to not only amaze me but also to appall me.

Government agencies, in my maybe not-so-humble opinion, are bloated and supervisor-heavy.  Everyone wants a title.  No one wants to actually work.  Therefore, the vast majority of “managers” in government do not know how to manage work or supervise people.  They “manage by committee” and that mentality is ridiculous because no one knows how to make a decision.  Additionally, the majority of them attempt to squelch any initiative or ingenuity.  Everyone is expected to march in lock-step, so that when someone tries to take initiative or when they don’t fit into their little box (or is it “prison cell”) that they’re supposed to occupy or when something goes wrong with whatever program is being implemented, the workers (they’re the ones that are not part of the management “in club”) get thrown figuratively under the bus.  That mentality goes all the way up to the idiot White House Occupier, BO, who throws anyone under the bus he can, attempting to not take any blame for anything.

This of course happened to me very recently.  I took some initiative as instructed by management and was later batted down for it.  The problem for them with doing something like that to me … and with me in particular overall … is that I do not fit into their little box.  I have too many prickly edges to fit in a box.  Since I was little, I never adhered to the rule of there being a box that I was supposed to fit into.  If I was ever told that, I took whatever was handy to said box and knocked the box down.

So anyway, someone at my job tried to throw me under the bus.

Guess what?  They will feel the consequences.

I get really tired of people on one side of the political aisle that want to silence those of us that think differently and dare to speak our minds.

Guess what, any detractors and censors out there? Just ask my family and friends. I will say what I believe to be true NO MATTER WHAT … till the end of time.

The politically correct liberal thought police out there will never stop that. I am not now and I never will be one of their stooges. Period. (Oh and guess what, gang? *My* “period” truly MEANS “period” … unlike the idiot BO currently occupying the White House.)

The “thought police” are at it again (or, rather, shall I say, STILL). Anyone that reads this blog or that knows Roy and me will know full well our opinion of BO (the White House occupier who isn’t Presidential material). He’s a pathological liar, hell-bent on changing the fabric of America. The mamby-pamby lamestream media are feeding into this hero worship that borders on treating him like a god. Because we don’t like him or his gang of thugs, we’ve been called all sorts of names, not the least of them being “racist”. Nothing could be further from the truth, so GET THIS STRAIGHT:

… & yes, someone has a typo in the above, but the meaning is ***QUITE CLEAR*** …

… CARRY ON, ALL …

I work for the State of California Employment Development Department in the Unemployment Insurance Division on Capitol Mall in Sacramento, 2 blocks from the Capitol Building. I know I’ve said this before, but I am reiterating it for a reason.

I am quite well aware of what most people think of government workers and, in particular, state workers and, even more so, those of us blessed with working in Unemployment Insurance. You can’t fool me. I *know* what most of you think … that we are all lazy, stupid, overpaid, do-nothing’s, sucking off the taxpayers. (No, that would be people like BO, the current occupier of the White House, and his gang of crooks.).

Anyway!

Hold that thought close to your hearts and think about that throughout the Christmas season as you go to your parties.

Yesterday (Thursday) I worked from 7am to 6pm. I worked 7am to 5pm today (Friday). Tomorrow (Saturday) I’ll work 7am to 5pm yet again. Then on Sunday, I’ll work 9am to 4pm, just to get up on Monday and work 7am to 6pm (yes, that’s right … you read all of those hours correctly). Tuesday … Christmas Eve … I’ll work 7am to noon, taking the afternoon off, wanting to spend *some* Christmas time with my family. I have Christmas Day off since I hold that day to be a holy celebration. I’ll be at work the day after Christmas from 7am to 6pm yet again, as well as on Friday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I get Saturday off (woo) to attend my beloved daughter’s wedding shower (gee, we actually do have families and lives too). Then I get New Years Day off, when I’ll probably sleep all day, just to be back at it the day after. How many of you are willing to do that?

There may be some government workers that are lazy but there are many private industry workers that are too. My point is …. the vast majority of the government workers put their hearts and souls into what they do.

I get tired of the clichés.

Oh, hell, I just get TIRED.

I don’t know about you all, but as a manager … or as an elected official of a community organization … or as a business owner … or as a political leader … or as a personal coach … or as a teacher … or even as the head of my household … (all things, plus more, I’ve had the pleasure of doing) … not taking PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for my actions, not making it my personal goal to KNOW what was going on around me, not being *in charge*, so to speak, would have been the absolute LAST thing I’d want to have happen. It would have shown a lack of care, a lack of leadership, a lack of understanding, a lack of regard for what I had been charged with doing and a lack of regard for the people in my care.

So.

BO?

Tell us again how you see nothing, hear nothing, and know nothing but want us to believe that you are a “leader” and have *such* a massively high IQ.

DING DONG!!! Knock knock KNOCKKKKKK. Hello?????? Is anyone *home* in that head of yours?

No, you are not a leader. You are not “smart”. You are truly nothing more than a wannabe tyrant who is currently occupying the United States of America’s White House (which, by the way, since you seem to have forgotten, belongs to the American citizenry … NOT YOU).

Benghazi

BO’s arrogance is nothing short of appalling … disgusting … sickening.

He allowed those in Benghazi to die with nothing done about it.

He calls this a “phony scandal”?  No, he’s a wannabe phony White House occupier with no visible credentials.  He’s too busy feeding the sheeple of this world the “Big Lie”.  He’s not presidential material, whether he’s black, white, orange, pink, or chartreuse with lavender polka dots.  We don’t care.  We just don’t like him or his politics or his beliefs.  He’s arrogant and disgusting.

Period.

Too many remain silent about it.

Roy and I haven’t forgotten, nor will we.
