The excerpt below was sent to me by a friend.  I share for 5 reasons:

  1. I live in California.
  2. I am a SMART woman, at least in my not-so-humble opinion.
  3. I have never voted for Dianne Frankenstein and never will.
  4. Yes, California seems to have a penchant for electing obnoxious and totally foolish women.
  5. My husband is from Maine (note the reference to Maine below).

Therefore … I offer the below idiocy.

*~*~*

Quote of the day by “Dianne Feinstein”:

Dianne Feinstein:  “All vets are mentally “ill” in some way and government should prevent them from owning firearms.”

Yep, she really said it in a meeting in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee … and the quote below from the LA Times is priceless.  Sometimes even the L.A. Times gets it right.

Kurt Nimmo:  “Senator Feinstein insults all U.S. Veterans as she flays about in a vain attempt to save her anti-firearms bill.”

Quote of the Day from the Los Angeles Times:

“Frankly, I don’t know what it is about California , but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office.  I’m not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including  Maine, even comes close.  When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington, we’re Number One.  There’s no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on ‘Macbeth’.  The four of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of blab.

You don’t know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply marvel at their ability to form words.”

Columnist Burt Prelutsky, Los Angeles Times

I actually agree with the LA Times for a change.  That’s all I have to offer.

“I’ve got to tell you I’ve been rackin’ my brain, hopin’ to find a way out.   I’ve had enough of this continual rain.  Changes are acomin’, no doubt.  It’s been a too long time with no peace of mind, and I’m ready for the times to get better.  …  I feel so lonesome at times.  I have a dream that I could live.   It’s burnin’ holes in my mind.”   Crystal Gayle

We all know how some days/weeks in life are better than others. Right now, I have a job I smile through gritted teeth at and bear until I can leave for the better life I work toward.

Management is insulting to not only me but also to anyone not part of their virtual “good ol’ boy” in-club/political cronyism that gets all the job favoritism heaped on certain people that have no real ability or knowledge to actually *do* the work they are paid top dollar for, while those that actually WORK are told they aren’t “good enough”.  What it boils down to is that there are those of us that take actual PRIDE in what we produce and refuse to kiss political ass.  We refuse to play their games.   The idiotic powers-that-be don’t like that.  It’s like high school cliques and being around the “mean girls”.   I didn’t do it then.  I sure as hell won’t now.  I have entirely too much self-respect … something that is in very short supply in today’s world.

Then there’s Roy’s job that doesn’t understand basic scheduling and caters to one person who manipulates everything to provide only good schedules to him.   Roy gets the dregs … because of management ineptitude that is too afraid to upset the apple cart and wants everything easy on them.   What they fail to understand is that not addressing the issue just causes more issues in the future, particularly since, when their “golden boy” gets into scheduling nightmares (which he is VERY prone to), they then depend on Roy to bail them out.

So what is my point here?  My point is … I am glad to be working toward financial independence so that we don’t have to depend on the inept or the cronyism that is rampant. “Regular” jobs (whatever the hell those are) … suck … BIG TIME.

Have a Plan B.

As my beloved Daddy used to say …

COMMON SENSE AIN’T SO COMMON.
To that, I’ll add … particularly in the government sector.  I’ll just leave it there.  It sums up my week.

I’ve said this before, but I work in the government sector.  It’s not particularly my choice, but with the economy of the past few years and the crushing taxes put on private businesses, it’s what was paying the bills as we struggled to build our own private business.  I was tired of being laid off from “company jobs”.  After that happening 3 times in 5 years, I decided that I would work on my own business dream while holding down a government job.

Don’t get me wrong … I’m grateful that I have work.  I know that I do it well and I do it with care, offering good service to the State of California taxpayers.  However, the mentality of the majority of people that work in government jobs never ceases to not only amaze me but also to appall me.

Government agencies, in my maybe not-so-humble opinion, are bloated and supervisor-heavy.  Everyone wants a title.  No one wants to actually work.  Therefore, the vast majority of “managers” in government do not know how to manage work or supervise people.  They “manage by committee” and that mentality is ridiculous because no one knows how to make a decision.  Additionally, the majority of them attempt to squelch any initiative or ingenuity.  Everyone is expected to march in lock-step, so that when someone tries to take initiative or when they don’t fit into their little box (or is it “prison cell”) that they’re supposed to occupy or when something goes wrong with whatever program is being implemented, the workers (they’re the ones that are not part of the management “in club”) get thrown figuratively under the bus.  That mentality goes all the way up to the idiot White House Occupier, BO, who throws anyone under the bus he can, attempting to not take any blame for anything.

This of course happened to me very recently.  I took some initiative as instructed by management and was later batted down for it.  The problem for them with doing something like that to me … and with me in particular overall … is that I do not fit into their little box.  I have too many prickly edges to fit in a box.  Since I was little, I never adhered to the rule of there being a box that I was supposed to fit into.  If I was ever told that, I took whatever was handy to said box and knocked the box down.

So anyway, someone at my job tried to throw me under the bus.

Guess what?  They will feel the consequences.

A very wise friend stated the below comment recently and, while I know the sentiment has been around a while, and while I have definitely heard it before, I want to reiterate it as the thugs and goons in Washington DC try to take away my 2nd Amendment RIGHT.

“The best offense is a strong defense.”

Yes.

“The best offense is using a strong defense.”

Remember that.

The best offense is a strong defense.

So … with that … I offer the below … and wish to state to BO and his gang of cronies and thugs the following:

1.       You aren’t *MY* president because you don’t love and PROTECT this country and her citizen’s rights.

2.       You don’t seem to understand the Constitution as much as you like to say you do.

3.       This is my 2nd Amendment RIGHT. It’s not a gift. It’s a RIGHT.

 PERIOD

(By the way … my stating “PERIOD” means something.  Roy and I are quite well aware that your stating that means absolutely positively NOTHING.  When you state “period”, it means the “period” followed an outright LIE.)

The best offense is a strong defense.

THE BEST OFFENSE

IS

A STRONG DEFENSE.

As the #WhiteHouse occupiers (#BO and #MoochObama and their kiddos) go on yet another taxpayer-funded lavish 2 week Hawaiian holiday which the vast majority of the American public can’t afford due to being taxed into oblivion and which they can’t even begin to imagine ever doing or affording, I offer these two pictures to the idiot that blames everyone but himself. This is all I have to offer to the people who live in the #WhiteHouse but wouldn’t know what “being Presidential” or “Leadership” mean. I’ll give them one clue anyway: “The Blame Game” is not part of it. I will never consider them to be “President” or “First Lady” because neither of them know how to act the part … and believe me … they could be black, white, green, purple, or orange with turquoise polka-dots … I’d still feel the same about their demeanor and attitude. They simply are not worthy of the title or my respect.

Anyway … Merry Christmas to my friends and family that truly know what love and caring and strength and purpose and law and order are all about.

These #imposters do not. They only know how to take from and use others. Karma will not be pretty on them.

I’m now done with my rant.
