Today is my oldest child’s birthday. Our relationship is rocky but he’s still my son and I’ll love him even when I disagree with things he says and does.

He’s 32. How can that be? I clearly remember being 32 and wrestling 2 toddlers in and out of places, about ready to lose my mind.

My middle child died 13-1/2 years ago.

My baby girl just got married and will be 26 next month.

Remember, moms that are currently doing all of this … it goes by fast. It’s well worth the ups-and-downs, even when it doesn’t always turn out like you think or want. It’s still worth it.

I’ll believe you when you stand behind your words and back up your beliefs.

If I think someone or something is wrong, I can be the only one stating it … but … if it’s wrong or against my beliefs … well, then, IT’S WRONG. I won’t change what I say or do just to stroke someone’s ego.

It is simply a matter of integrity and self-respect. Those are the most important things I’ve got. This has been why, even through the bad in life, I will find my way out.

I said it.

I meant it.
